Clara (Gonsalves) Andrade, 75, of New Bedford died Tuesday November 5, 2002 at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation for New Bedford after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Margaret (Santos) Gonsalves.

Born in Freetown, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life. She was a member of the International Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret E. Smith, and her husband Greg, of New Bedford; a grandson, Brandon A. Young of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Juvina Dias, Mary Dias, and Beatrice Mendes, all of New Bedford; and nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Eva Vasconcellos and Jenny Lopes.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday November 8, 2002 at 10 AM in the International Church of the Nazarene, 284 Pleasant St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the Funeral Home on Thursday November 7, 2002 from 4-7 PM.
