Claudette E. (Lavoie) Manning, 75, of New Bedford died Thursday March 1, 2012 at Tobey Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Manning.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Philip E. and Leona C. (Brunette) Lavoie, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Mrs. Manning was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.

She was a member of Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational High School Alumni Association.

Survivors include a daughter, Lee Pacheco and her husband Michael of New Bedford; a son, Richard J. Manning, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Rochester; two brothers, Philip E. Lavoie, Jr. of Dartmouth and Dennis R. Lavoie of Attleboro; four grandchildren, Brendan M. and Ryan J. Manning and Kelsey and Jake Pacheco; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Claudia E. Manning.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 5-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
