Clementina (Garcia) Gomes, 98, of New Bedford passed away Sunday August 24, 2025 after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Francisco Gomes.

Born in Brava, Cape Verde, the daughter of the late Henrique and Eugenia (Silva) Garcia, she lived in New Bedford for the past 50 years.

Clementina was formerly employed by the Cliftex Corporation until her retirement.

She was a member of the International Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by four sons, Jose Garcia of Angola, Abilio Garcia of Georgia, Augosto Garcia of Cape Verde, and Autilio G. dePina of New Bedford; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday August 28th at 10 AM at the International Church of the Nazarene, 286 Pleasant St., New Bedford, followed by burial in St. John's Cemetery.
