Curtis A. Farwell, 54, of New Bedford died Friday December 23, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late George and Pearl (Nichols) Farwell, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Mr. Farwell was formerly employed as a security guard for Pinkerton Security. He had also been a school crossing guard for the City of New Bedford.

He was a member of the Fin, Fur, and Feather Club of Mattapoisett and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include a brother, Dennis A. Farwell and his wife Elaine A. Farwell of Acushnet; an uncle, Ronald Nichols and his wife Joan of New Bedford; and several cousins.

He was the brother of the late Elaine F. Farwell.

A private Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday morning, December 27, 2005, in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
