Cynthia S. (Stitt) Waite, 90, of Mattapoisett died peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. She was the wife of the late Earl William Waite.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Ralph I. and Ruth A. (Durfee) Stitt, she lived in Mattapoisett most of her life.

She was formerly employed as a nurse's aide at several local nursing homes until her retirement.

She was a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Robert Waite and his wife Deborah of Dighton and Jonathan Waite of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Linda S. Waite-Blackman of Rice, TX and Carol Faulkner and her husband Joseph "Skip" of Seekonk; several step-brothers and step-sisters; 2 grandchildren, Andrew Faulkner and Sarah Faulkner; and a great-granddaughter Ella Perry.

She was the sister of the late Barbara Aiello and Richard Stitt.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make either a financial donation to Our Lady's Haven Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitative Care or donate new board games or puzzles to the patients of Our Lady's Haven.

Cynthia's Memorial Service will be held Saturday April 5, 2025 at 10 AM in the Memorial Baptist Church, 340 Central Ave, Seekonk, MA 02771.
