Daniel E. Rodrigues, 61, of New Bedford died October 17, 2018 at Hope Hospice in Providence after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, son of Jeannette E. (Arruda) Rodrigues of New Bedford and the late Carlos L. Rodrigues, he lived in Dartmouth and New Bedford all of his life.
He was formerly employed as a commercial fisherman on several vessels in the New Bedford fleet for many years until his retirement.
Survivors include his son, Raymond Rodrigues and his fiancée Jasmine Medeiros of New Bedford; a step-daughter, Cassie Amaral of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Susan Santos of Port Orange, FL and Nancy Rodrigues of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Paul Rodrigues.
His visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 26th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
