David "Bi" Todd, Jr., 64, of Mattapoisett died March 8, 2009 unexpectedly at home.
He was the husband of Susan Mello Todd.
Bi was, the son of the late David and Geraldine (Field) Todd, was raised in Lincoln, MA spending summers in Mattapoisett, MA. In his early adult years the family moved to Mattapoisett year round.

Bi was employed by Brownell Systems for over 30 years. Prior to that he was a boat builder at Vaitses Associates, Inc. He held pride in his work, and he loved doing it.

Bi enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Most importantly he enjoyed his family, his home, and his broad spectrum of close friends and acquaintances. He was affectionately known as the "Big Guy" by his grandchildren, and later by those who knew him well.

Survivors include his wife; his children, Kelley Todd O'Pezio of Mattapoisett, David Todd III of Burbank, CA, and Geraldine Field Todd of Mattapoisett; sons in law, Thomas J. O'Pezio, and Kristopher J. Brown; his sister Pauline E. Henshaw of Mattapoisett; brothers in law, George Henshaw, Phillip Mello, Timothy Mello, and Thomas Mello; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Caroline, and Dominic; his immediate extended family, and Chamois.

He was the brother of the late Virginia T. Mello.
There will be a gathering with family and friends Friday, March 13th from 9 - 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett followed by the Graveside Service at 12 Noon in Cushing Cemetery.
