Davis D. Daniels, 69, of New Bedford died Friday August 20, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the son of the late Daffer and Mary (Servant) Daniels, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

Mr. Daniels was formerly employed as a construction worker for the Laborers Union Local 385. He later worked in the hazardous waste disposal industry.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Suffolk University. He also attended Brown University and Suffolk University Law School.

Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth Trudelle and her husband Edmond, and Dorothy Daniels, all of New Bedford; a niece, Tracey Dupont and her husband Michael of Rochester; a nephew, Tyler Trudelle of New Bedford; and his longtime friends, Marcia Goulding and Jon Rodericks, both of New Bedford.

His Funeral Services will be private. Visiting hours are omitted,
