IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debbie Lynne
Friedman
October 31, 1951 – November 24, 2024
Debbie Lynne Friedman, 73 of Dartmouth
Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Seymour and Freda (Kaffaseder) Friedman, she was raised on Long Island and graduated from SUNY Oneonta College. She later raised her family in South Florida before moving to Warren, RI and then Dartmouth.
She was employed as a kindergarten teacher at Ramblewood Elementary School for 30+ years until her retirement in 2014. Her greatest joy was being a Grandma. It's as though her years teaching Kindergarten was her training ground, and the last 11 years was her MasterClass. She loved her four grandchildren so deeply and so unconditionally - every part of her life revolved around them, their events, their special moments and the four of them had such a special connection, each of them with their very special Grandmother. Some of the highlights were art projects, playing every board game ever created (she was undefeated in Uno), watching them play sports and attending dance competitions. Debbie was a talented artist and during retirement focused on her love of painting. She leaves behind numerous paintings for her sons and grandkids to cherish.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Scott Crook of Dartmouth and Justin Crook and his wife Venetia of Johns Creek, GA; her sister, Jill Proietti and her husband Joseph of Richmond, VA; 4 grandchildren, Bennett Crook, Reese Crook, Sophia Crook and Lily Crook; and her nephew, Craig Proietti.
Her funeral arrangements will be private.
