Delia (Rezendes) Sylvia, 96, of New Bedford died March 30, 2010 peacefully at home.
She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Sylvia.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Souza) Rezendes, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.She was formerly employed by several local textile mills for many years until retirement.
Survivors include her son, Paul Sylvia and his wife Pam of New Bedford; a daughter, Arlene Guimont of New Bedford; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Gilbert and Frank Rezendes.
Her Private Funeral Service was held on Thursday, April 1st in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial followed in St. John's Cemetery.
