Deolinda A. (DaRosa) Fontes, 88, of New Bedford died October 17, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Jose Miguel.
Mrs. Fontes was born in Faial, Azores, Portugal, daughter of the late Tomás S. and Maria J. (DeMedeiros) DaRosa, and had lived in New Bedford since 1959.
She was formerly employed as a packer at various fish houses in New Bedford until her retirement.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jose R. Miguel and John H. Beauvais-Warr; 6 daughters, Rosa Kain, Deolinda Gibeau, Guilhermina Coleman, Maria F. Bartee, Cecilia Beauvais-Warr and Anna Lopez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Jason A. Miguel and grandmother of the late Hermano Vieira, John Pinheiro, Shawn Coleman and William Lewis, III.
Her Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th at 12 Noon in Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
