Deolinda "Del" (Gouveia) Viera, 84, of New Bedford died December 8, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital after a period of declining health.
She was the wife of Charles Viera.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Rodriques) Gouveia, she lived in Fall River before moving to New Bedford 15 years ago.
She enjoyed playing bingo and watching soap operas.
Survivors include her husband; 2 daughters, Gale Medeiros and her husband Al of Fall River; and Pamela Brennan and her husband Steven of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren, Melissa Bernier and Taylor Brennan; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 12th at 9 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 11th from 4-8 PM.
