Derica Lynn Gobeil, 43, of New Bedford died unexpectedly at home on October 22, 2015.
She was the loving mother of Cole and Shae Hayes.
Derica loved being a stay a home mom so she could always be available to volunteer at her children's school. She was an animal lover. Throughout her life, she was very active in water sport. She swam the butterfly stroke in many competitions including Nationals in Ohio.
She is survived by her children; her mother, Judy (Machado) Gobeil; her brother, Jarid Gobeil and his wife Jen; and her partner James "Jockey" Hayes.
She was the daughter of the late George C. Gobeil.
Her Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 27th from 3-7 PM with a prayer service at 4 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
