Devorah M. "Debbie" Arruda, 66, of New Bedford passed away peacefully Monday January 11, 2021. Born in Acushnet, MA, daughter of the late Margaret (Arruda) Hurley, she lived in the south end of New Bedford most of her life. Debbie (Nana) will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her. Survivors include her children, Dagny Ashley of New Bedford, and Keith Arruda and his spouse Meghann of Manchester, NH; her siblings, Robert Arruda, Robin Hurley, and three additional sisters; her grandchildren include Shyla Ashley, Jarris Ashley, Rebecca Arruda, and Anthony Arruda; a great-grandchild, Kaydence Uzzell; a foster daughter Daejanni Baptiste; and many other relatives. Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, her services will be private.
