IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diana L.
Sullivan
January 24, 1956 – August 12, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Diana L. Sullivan on August 12, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her unyielding spirit, sharp wit, and deep love for her family.
Born on January 24, 1956, to the late parents Mary Ann and Richard Auger, in Japan, Diana grew up in various places as a military child, eventually making her home in New Bedford, MA. She married David J. Sullivan, with whom she shared a life filled with love, laughter, and resilience. Together, they raised their children with unwavering support and care.
Diana was a dedicated and hardworking nurse (LPN), spending most of her career in the geriatric field. She was a devoted mother and a loving "Didi" to her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Though she will not be here to see them grow up, her spirit and love will continue to guide them.
Diana leaves behind her loving husband, David Sullivan; her children, Brandy, Mark, Katherine and her husband Justin, and Richard and partner Danielle; her grandchildren, Charlotte, Augustus, and Milo; her siblings, Mary Ann, Pamela, and Ronald, as well as many nieces and nephews, friends and extended family.
She was predeceased by her brother Richard.
Her visitation will be held at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford on Friday August 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a service of remembrance beginning at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Women's Heart Alliance. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy of love, strength, and humor will continue to inspire us all.
