Diane Lee Dube, 78, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Born on April 11, 1948, to Ernest and Dolores Dexter, Diane was raised in New Bedford alongside her ten siblings, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love.

Throughout her life, Diane was an entrepreneur whose greatest passion was caring for others. She owned and operated several small businesses, including convenience stores and local diners, where she found joy in cooking, serving, and connecting with her community. Her kitchen was more than a place to prepare meals-it was a place where people felt welcomed, nourished, and loved.

Diane possessed a rare gift for making others feel seen and cared for. She shared her wisdom freely, offered guidance without judgment, and extended compassion to everyone she met. She never wanted to see anyone go without and was always ready to lend a helping hand, a warm meal, or a comforting word. Her unconditional love touched countless lives and created lasting memories for family, friends, and strangers alike.

Diane was a devoted mother to her three loving children, Michelle, Robert, and Tara. She was a cherished mother-in-law to Daniel and Jarred, who became treasured members of the family.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Nicole, Kayla, Chad, and Camryn, and was recently blessed with the joy of becoming a great-grandmother. Nothing brought her greater happiness than watching her family grow and flourish through the generations.

Five years ago, Diane married Ronald J. Dube, after sharing 28 years as devoted partners. Their enduring love and companionship were a testament to the deep connection they shared.

Diane's legacy is one of generosity, strength, kindness, and service to others. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by her husband Ronald, her children, step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, extended family, and the many lives she touched.
