Dianne E. Johnson, 83, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Bryce) Johnson, she lived in Fairhaven and New Bedford most of her life.

Dianne was a hard worker and a fantastic seamstress. She enjoyed designing outfits, making wedding dresses and tending to her plants. Dianne was very handy and liked working on her house. She was a bus driver for Friends Academy and was an in-home caregiver for many years.

Survivors include her children, Virginia Allen of Lakeville, Lynn Wright of Fairhaven, and Martin Johnson and his wife Angela Corrieri-Johnson of New Bedford; her brother Clifford Johnson; her grandchildren, Lisa Vinjerud, Leif Vinjerud, Kari Wright, Christopher Wright, Nicholas Wright, Eli Corrieri Johnson and Finn Corrieri Johnson; 10 great grandchildren, and her beloved cat Coach.

She is predeceased by her sons Franklin "Buster" Albert Allen III, Steven Craig Allen; her grandson Lars Vinjerud III; and her sister, Linda Zingali.

According to her wishes a private family ceremony will be held.
