Dolores (Moniz) Borgess, 88, of Fairhaven died May 8, 2025 at Sacred Heart Home.
She was the wife of the late Paul J. Borgess.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Edmund and Phoebe (Flora) Moniz, she lived in Acushnet and Fairhaven most of her life.
She was formerly employed by Cape Cod Sportswear for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling and attending Fairhaven and Acushnet Senior Centers.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Borgess and her fiancé Sal Faria of Acushnet; a grandson, Brandon Faria and his fiancée Rachel Carroll of Acushnet; 2 great-granddaughters, Layla Faria and Emily Faria, both of Acushnet.
She was the sister of the late Edmund Moniz, Jr. and Flora Sylvia.
Her funeral service and burial in St. John's Cemetery were private.
