Doreen A. (Roderick) Hawk, 61 of New Bedford died June 17, 2011 at home at home after a long courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Virgino and Elsie (Lewis) Roderick, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Survivors include her son, Matthew Hawk and his wife Kathleen of New Bedford; a daughter, Heidi Sanders and her husband James of New Bedford; a sister, Linda Bryant of New Bedford; her companion, David Martin of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren, a great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Her visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 24th from 4-8 PM in Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford followed by her Funeral Service at 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5 Manley St. West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
