Doris M. (Eastwood) Napier, 94, of New Bedford died Monday August 29, 2011 at Hallmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of Charles Napier.

Born in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret (Baines) Eastwood, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

She was a former member of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ.

Mrs. Napier was formerly employed as a secretary at the Mt. Pleasant School until her retirement.

She enjoyed golfing, reading, playing cards, and camping.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Charles W. Napier of Freetown, Patricia M. Goulart of Dartmouth, and David A. Napier of New Bedford; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchilden.

She was the mother of the late Peter E. Napier, and sister of the late Donald Eastwood and Ernest "Bob" Eastwood.

Her Funeral Service will be private. Visiting hours are omitted. Burial will be in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.
