Dorothy P. Entwistle of Dartmouth died Friday December 16, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Stanley J. DeVoyd

Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Leonard J. and Dorothy (Reddy) Entwistle, she lived in Dartmouth for many years.

Ms. Entwistle was formerly employed as an art teacher at Roosevelt Junior High School until her retirement.

She was a member of the Old Dartmouth Historical Society and the Westport Historical Society.

Survivors include her husband; a niece, Suzanne M. Hughes of Duxbury; two nephews, Peter C. Entwistle of Marshfield and Timothy C. Entwistle of Ridgewood, NJ; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was the sister of the late Charles Conlin Entwistle.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery on Tuesday December 20, 2005 at 10 AM. Visiting hours are omitted.
