Dorothy (Almeida) McCuen, 77, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late Clotilda Almeida, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Dorothy was a member of the Full Gospel Christian Fellowship in New Bedford.

She worked as a record keeper for Hawthorn Medical Associates for many years.

Survivors include her son, Charles McCuen, Jr. and his wife Luzia of New Bedford; her grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob McCuen; her cousin Olivia Cabral; and her friend Richard Vieira.

Dorothy's visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
