Edward S. McGadden, 58, of Taunton died December 16, 2008 at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Lowell, the son of the late Edward C. and Rose A. (Vaillancourt) McGadden, he lived in Wareham and Taunton most of his life.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Wareham.
Mr. McGadden enjoyed music and walking.
Survivors include a son, Edward S. McGadden, Jr. and his wife Molly of Chatham, MA; 2 daughters, Jaime Restic of Mendon, MA and Tracy McGadden of Waltham, MA; a sister, Diane Knight and her husband Peter of Mattapoisett; his aunt, Theresa "Shirley" O'Dea of Marion; 5 grandchildren; a niece and 2 nephews.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 20th at 9 AM in St. Patrick's Church, Wareham. Committal prayers will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Chapel in Tewksbury at 12:30 PM. Visiting hours are omitted.
