Edward J. Menter, 63, of New Bedford died September 28, 2007 unexpectedly at home.
He was the husband of Beverly Ann (Geffen) Menter.
Born in Michigan, the son of the late Elmer and Virginia Rose (Grant) Menter, he lived in North Hollywood, CA before moving to New Bedford in 1997.
Mr. Menter was presently employed as assistant manager of Benny's in Dartmouth for 9 years.
He studied music at Valley College in California and enjoyed playing the piano and writing music.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Barry Fineberg, and his wife Claire, of Dartmouth; 4 daughters, Donna Leite, Susan Fineberg, and her companion Greg Sequeira, and Sharon Seifert, and her husband Michael, all of New Bedford and Sherri Berenstain of California; a brother, Al Menter of California; 9 grandchildren.

Visiting hours Tuesday, October 2nd from 4-8 PM followed by his Funeral Service at 8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford.
