Elaine F. Farwell, 60, of New Bedford died Thursday July 8, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital.

Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late George and Pearl (Nichols) Farwell, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Miss Farwell was formerly employed as a shoe dresser at the Lissak Shoe Manufacturing Company in New Bedford

She was a life member of the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include two brothers, Dennis A. Farwell and his wife Elaine A. of Acushnet and Curtis A. Farwell of New Bedford; an uncle, Ronald Nichols and his wife Joan of New Bedford; and several cousins.

A Private Funeral Service was held on Monday morning July 12, 2004 at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial followed in Acushnet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
