Elaine R. Hebert, 88, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Atria Fairhaven after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Edmund R. Hebert to whom she was married for 51 years and widow of the late Manuel "Meno" S. Pacheco, Jr.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Doris (Pratt) Morgan, she lived in Fairhaven for many years. Elaine attended schools in New Bedford. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Fairhaven.
Elaine was an employee at the Acushnet Company, in the Titleist Golf Division, for 28 years, retiring as their receptionist and Senior Telephone Operator at the corporate headquarters. She was known around the world as "The Voice of Titleist" and its Customer Satisfaction Ambassador.
Her greatest passion and comfort were her sons, grandchildren, and husband. They were her pride and joy. She valued the simple things in life, being in a garden, watching birds, and especially walking along the seashore. She was happiest when with family and friends. She was an inspiration to many people and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two sons, Edmund Hebert and his wife Gina of Mattapoisett, and Bryan Pacheco of Fairhaven, as well as three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was an inspiration to many people and will be greatly missed.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the caregivers and staff at Atria Fairhaven for their compassionate care and support.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday July 9th from 4-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 10th at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
