Elaine (Gagnon) Lopes, 79, of New Bedford died September 11, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Alfred L. and Jennie (Costakes) Gagnon, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church where she was a member of the Women's Guild.
Elaine was formerly employed as a bank teller at N.B.I.S. for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and dancing.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Lisa A. Lopes-Bristow and her husband Richard of Mt. Juliet, TN and Lynn Saucier and her husband David of Acushnet; a sister-in-law, Janice Lopes of Dartmouth; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Saulnier, David Saucier, Jr. and Ryan Saucier; and 2 great-grandchildren, Aurora Hubbard and David Saucier, III.
Her funeral services will be private.
