Elaine Madeira, 95, of Dartmouth passed away Monday November 11, 2024 peacefully at home.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Jose and Emilia (Bento) Madeira, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life before moving to Dartmouth.

Elaine enjoyed playing cards, watching old comedies on TV, completing activity books, and attending family functions.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and her extended family from CMHS.

She was the sister of the late Maria Clara Ferreira, Armindo Madeira, and Joseph Madeira, Jr., and aunt of the late June E. Monteiro.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday November 23, 2024 at 10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9-10 AM prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
