A native of Dartmouth, Elizabeth Purrington passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 21, 2021.
She was the daughter of Henry Jones Purrington and Thelma M. (Ahlander) Purrington.
She is survived by her son, Eric and brother, Fred and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, class of 1960. She became a self taught beautician and served as an instructor at LeBaron Hairdressing Academy. Known affectionately to many friends and clients as BETTY. A devout Bible student, who appreciated passionately the beauty of GOD's Bounty upon the South Coast. Her favorite pastime was kayaking and enjoying the serenity of the Westport River and Horseneck Beach.
Her private arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
