Elsie M. (Medeiros) Gething , 89, of Fairhaven died Friday June 21, 2002 at Nichols House Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Alfred Gething, and daughter of the late Joseph and Flora (Rose) Medeiros.

Mrs. Gething was born in New Bedford and had lived in Fairhaven for many years.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in New Bedford.

Survivors include 3 sisters, Laura Ribeiro of Florida, Blanche Benish of Boston, and Lillian Mello of Marstons Mills.

Her Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2002 at 10 AM in Acushnet Cemetery.
