Eugene M. Daher, 81, of New Bedford died Saturday December 7, 2013 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Thomas and Eva (Coury) Daher, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church.

Mr. Daher was formerly employed as a groundskeeper for the Holy Cross Fathers in Dartmouth for many years.

Survivors include his sister, Beatrice Howe of New Bedford; his sister-in-law, Alice Daher of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Joseph Daher, Thomas Daher, Jr., George Daher, Peter Daher, Louis Daher, Sophie Daher, Josephine Roda, Margaret Sylvia, and Mary Watkins.

His Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Purgatory Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
