Eunice (Viera) Pinto, 89, of Dartmouth died Saturday January 6, 2007 at New Bedford Healthcare with her family and friends after living a long and love-filled life. She was the wife of the late Antone C. Pinto, Jr.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (DeTerra) Viera, she lived in Dartmouth all her life.
She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
Mrs. Pinto was formerly employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company until her retirement.
She was a member of the Greater Dartmouth Senior Citizens.
Survivors include five sons, Richard A. Pinto and his wife Susan of Manassas, VA, Russell C. Pinto and his wife Elizabeth of Dartmouth, Ralph E. Pinto and his wife Cynthia of New Bedford, Robert A. Pinto of Dartmouth, and Randolph D. Pinto and his wife Bernadette of Melbourne, FL; a daughter-in-law, Normenia Pinto of New Bedford; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves many friends and many special friends among the residents and nursing staff at New Bedford Healthcare.
She was the mother of the late Ronald F. Pinto, mother-in-law of the late Susanne Pinto, grandmother of the late Jason F. Gallagher, and sister of the late Lillian Polchlopek, Marguerite Machado, Henry Viera, John Viera, Harold Viera, and Joseph Viera Jr.
Her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Julie Billiart Church Wednesday at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
