Eva (DaLomba Luz) Lachat, 90, of New Bedford passed away peacefully at home on Saturday April 13, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.  She was the wife of the late Paul Lachat.

Born in Brava, Cape Verde, the daughter of the late Joao DaLuz and Maria (DaLomba) DaLuz, she lived in New Bedford the past 47 years.

She is survived by her children, Jean Pierre Lachat of France, Marie Claire Brito of New Bedford, Alain Lachat of Fairhaven, and Evelyne Robinson of Mashpee; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her visitation will be held on Saturday April 20th from 4-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with a funeral service at 6:30 PM.  A private family burial service will take place in Rural Cemetery.  Since the visitation will be open to all, the family requests that there be no visiting at the family residence.
