Evelyn G. (Almeida) Pena, 88, of New Bedford died May 11, 2005 at Blaire House after a long illness.
She was the wife John Pena, Jr.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Joao and Gertrude (Britto) Almeida, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Pena was a active parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church and a member of St. Martin dePorres Guild.
She was formerly employed by US Ringbinder in New Bedford for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband; 3 daughters, Donna Lopes, and her husband Manuel, of Sacramento, CA, Antoinette Pena of Washington, DC and Audrey Mosby of Richmond, VA; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren, cousins and a nephew.
She was the sister of the late Antonio Almeida and Elizabeth Almeida.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Monday, May 16th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Sunday, May 15th from 4-8 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
