Genevieve F. (Grace) Baillargeon, 87, of New Bedford died February 28, 2009 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Leonard Baillargeon.
Born in Dartmouth, the daughter of the late Vincent and Clara (Mandly) Grace, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Mrs. Baillargeon was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for Charles McGowan, C.P.A. for many years until retirement.
Mrs. Baillargeon was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, class of 1939.
Survivors include her 5 step-sons, Leonard Baillargeon, Peter Baillargeon and Mark Baillargeon, all of New Bedford, James Baillargeon of Mountainside NJ and Paul Baillargeon of Dartmouth; 2 sisters, Alma Luchetti of Maine and Suzanne Jenkins of Duxbury; 2 step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Friday, March 6th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, March 5th from 3-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Schwartz Center for Children, One Posa Place, Dartmouth, MA 02747.
