George D. Pina, 59, of New Bedford died Sunday June 27, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Bonita M. (Britto) Pina.

Born in Wareham, the son of the late Agnes (Rose) Pina and John Andrade, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

Mr. Pina was formerly employed as a tire builder for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

Survivors include wife; two daughters, Tracey Pina and Mellissa Pina, both of Providence; his siblings, Clinton Pina of Mashpee, Eddie Pina of Marion, Rosemary Pina of Denver, CO, and Rodney Pina, Jeff Pina, John Andrade, and Maria "Lady" Pina, all of New Bedford; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Robert and Melvin Pina.
