George Schoerner, 94, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28th, 2022. He was the husband of Harriet L. (Baker) Schoerner.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, he grew up in Maine before he met his wife and moved to New Bedford.

George served in the Merchant Marines and U.S. Navy.

He loved vacationing in Maine and fixing things. He will be missed by the many people who loved him.

Survivors include his wife; his children, Randy Schoerner and his wife Melanie of New Bedford; Sharon Wilson and her husband Robert of Fairhaven; and grandchildren, Kim, Jamie, Randy Jr., Victor, Brandon, Abby, and Noelle; and a sister-in-law Doris Baker.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
