Georgette Caron

Georgette (Lapointe) Caron, 89, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 28, 2026. She was the wife of the late John J. Caron for 48 years.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Emory and Ludivine (Letourneau) Lapointe, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Georgette enjoyed sewing, gardening, and word search puzzles. She loved watching Gunsmoke.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Gomes of New Bedford; her siblings, Jean Gladu and Rolande Morrell; her grandchildren, Jillian Gomes and Jay Gomes; her great-grandchildren, Trinity Monteiro, Kadence Gomes, Roman Alves, Adrien Alves, and Liliana Alves; and her favorite niece Cora Baker.

According to her wishes, private services will be held.
