Georgia (Nickolaow) Poulos, 88, of New Bedford died Thursday November 12, 2009 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the wife of the late Peter Poulos.

Born in Brockton, the daughter of the late Theoharis and Helen Nickolaow, she resided in New Bedford since 1947. She was a graduate of Brockton High School.

She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church.

Mrs. Poulos and her family operated Poulos Pharmacy on Union Street for many years.

Survivors include a son, Stephen Poulos and his wife Lynne of Dartmouth; a daughter, Helene Poulos and her partner Daniel Chase of New Bedford; a brother, James Nickolaow and his wife Sylvia of Raynham; two grandsons, Justin Poulos and his fiancée Kacie Hastings of Fairhaven, and Craig Poulos of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Nicholas Nickolaow.
