Georgina (Oliver) Pina, 76, of New Bedford died Saturday February 22, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Belfred E. Pina.

Born in Freetown, the daughter of the late Frank and Laura (Canto) Oliver, she had lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, where she was a member of the St. Vincent dePaul Society and the Homebound Group.

Mrs. Pina was formerly employed as an assembler at U.S. Ringbinder until her retirement.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Audrey Lee Pina of Raynham, June Marie Pina, Renee Barrows, and Maria Goncalves, all of New Beford; a brother, Benjamin Oliver of Freetown; and many nieces and nephewsShe was the sister of the late John Oliver, Mary Oliver Rocha and Alice Oliver Costa.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordTuesday February 25, 2003 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday February 24, 2003 from 4-8 PM.
