Georgios E. Athineos, 73, of New Bedford died Friday November 14, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Angeliki (Komninaki) Athineos.

Born in Alexandria, Egypt, the son of the late Emmanuel and Catherine (Halvatzi) Athineos, he lived in the United States since 1973.

He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church.

Mr. Athineos was formerly employed as a general supervisor for Borg-Warner until his retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife, Angeliki.

His Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 1 PM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
