Gerald W. "Jerry" Pacheco, 75, of New Bedford died Thursday, March 17, 2022 at home after a long illness.

Jerry was a kind and caring man who had a heart of gold and was always there to help anyone in need. He loved to laugh and joke, watch horror movies and tv shows and was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox. What he loved the most however was being around his grandchildren and spoiling them.

He is survived by his wife, Marie (Borges) Pacheco; his daughter, Kelly Pacheco; his son, Gerald "Jay" Pacheco, Jr.; two grandsons, Adam Baptista, Jr. and Brayden Pacheco; his one and only granddaughter, Sabryna Rodriguez; two great-grandchildren, Ashton and Brody Baptista; two brothers; a sister; and several nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 4-7 PM. For directions and guestbook, visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
