Geraldine "Rita" (Tallarico) Dearden, 79, of Swansea died Saturday August 4, 2012 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the wife of the late Warren Dearden.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Irene (Schieri) Tallarico.

Mrs. Dearden was formerly employed by Family Services of Fall River and the Department of Social Services.

Survivors include her children, Jo-Ann Dearden, Katelyn Dearden, Kristine Dearden, Lori (Dearden) Cote, and Michelle Dearden; her grandchildren, David Dearden, Robert O. Cote III, Andrew Cote, Kyle Cote, and Michael S. DeMoranville, Jr.

She was the sister of the late Esther Tallarico.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday August 10, 2012 at 7 PM at St. Julie Billiart Church, 494 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
