Gilda (Souza) Cabral, 90, of Dartmouth died Monday April 1, 2013. She was the beloved wife of John Cabral.

Mrs. Cabral was formerly employed by Rodney Metals for many years.

Known as the "Beach Girl," she loved going to the Municipal Beach in New Bedford. She enjoyed dancing, socializing, and going to casinos.

She is survived by her husband; and a niece and two nephews.

A private family burial service was held Wednesday at the Mass. National Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
