Gordon H. Murphy, 68, of New Bedford died September 20, 2005 at Our Lady's Haven after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Harold and Jennie (Cowell) Murphy, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Murphy was formerly employed as a commercial fisherman on various vessels sailing out of the Port of New Bedford.
Survivors include his aunt, Shirley M. Cowell of Marion; his special friends, Lorraine Silveira and Loren Mills, both of New Bedford; several cousins.
His Funeral Service will be private.
