Helen (Kata) Makuch, 87, of Mattapoisett died September 19, 2006 at home after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late John Makuch.
Born in Trenton, NJ, the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Gill) Kata, she lived in Mattapoisett most of her life.
Mrs. Makuch enjoyed reading, sewing, the company of her cats and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, John J. Makuch, and his wife Donnalee, of Mattapoisett; a daughter, Barbara Lee Eldridge, and her husband Ronald, of New Sharon, Maine; a brother, Robert Kata of Pennsylvania; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Mary, Josephine, Charles, John, Sally, Judy and Eddie.
Her Funeral Services will be private.
