Ines Macedo, 66, of New Bedford died May 5, 2024 peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, daughter of the late Joaquim Monteiro DeMacedo and Maria (Andrade) Macedo, she lived in Cape Verde before moving to New Bedford 23 years ago.
She was a kind and caring person who enjoyed spending time with her family, walks around the beach and trips to the casino.
Survivors include her 5 daughters, Mariazinha Macedo, Julia Monteiro Macedo, Maria Madelina Macedo Pereira and Noamy Macedo, all of New Bedford and Clarisse Macedo Pereira of Cape Verde; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Jose Antonio Macedo Pereira.
Her visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 13th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.  Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at 10:30 AM in the funeral home followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
