James C. Butler, 83, of New Bedford died June 19, 2010 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility.
He was the husband of the late Jeanette I. (Burris) Butler.
Born in Watson, Arkansas, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Butler served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He enjoyed fishing and boating.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Gloria Doviak and Mary Lynn Miller, both of Virginia Beach, VA; 4 grandchildren, Steven Manny, Karen Manny, Scott Miller and David Miller; 3 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Megan and Joseph.
His Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 22nd at 10 AM in Pine Grove Cemetery.
