James R. Culhane, Jr., 82, of New Bedford died Monday April 18, 2011.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late James R. and Hannah (Harrington) Culhane, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

Mr. Culhane was formerly employed by Shawmut Bank as a custodian until his retirement in 1993.

He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by several close friends.

Funeral Service Monday at 9:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with visitation from 8:30 - 9:30 AM. Interment Mass. National Cemetery.
