James Timothy Donnelly, 60, of Fairhaven passed away peacefully on Saturday September 17, 2016. He was the husband of Karen E. (Kvilhaug) Donnelly.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late James and Frances (Veary) Donnelly, he lived in Fairhaven for most of his life.
Jim loved watching the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox, and loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Karen; two daughters, Amy Marden and her husband Michael of New Bedford and Bethany Becker and her husband Todd of Lynn; his siblings, Jane Donnelly of New York, Michael Donnelly of New Bedford, Patrick Donnelly of Acushnet, David Donnelly of Fairhaven, Paul Donnelly and Kathy Brown, both of New Bedford; six grandchildren, Todd James, Nathan, Jacob, Brandon, Jackson, and Sophia; his sister-in-law, Lisa Schnack of Washington State; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Daniel Donnelly, Peter Donnelly, and Timothy Donnelly.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 22, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
